Indigo Courtyard at an exhibition

Our Story

From Rangilo Rajasthan to Vibrant Gujarat

A courtyard is the heart of a Rajasthani home: a place to gather, to share stories and to live with colour. That is what we set out to build.

The Founder

Yash Sharma

“For those who love handcrafted details, cozy corners and homes filled with stories, you are exactly where you belong.”

Indigo Courtyard was born from a love for the crafts of Rajasthan: the rhythm of the printing block, the depth of natural indigo and the jewel-like shine of hand-painted blue pottery.

Yash started Indigo Courtyard to bring these traditions from the workshops of Jaipur to Surat, and to share them with people who value things made slowly, by hand, with care.

The Journey

How a love for craft became a courtyard of its own.

The Roots

Jaipur

It begins in the craft clusters around Jaipur, where printers in Bagru and Sanganer and the city's blue pottery artisans have worked for generations.

The Idea

A Courtyard of Crafts

A simple idea: one place where block prints, indigo and blue pottery live together, the way they do in a Rajasthani home.

On the Road

Exhibitions

Through exhibitions we met so many lovely people and shared the world of Indigo Courtyard with them, piece by piece.

A Home in Gujarat

Surat Store

Today you can find us at Shyam Plaza on VIP Road, Surat: a store filled with prints, rugs and pottery, and always a warm welcome.
